DWS25 Terms and Conditions

Effective as of June 2025 – Dorset Women's Showcase (DWS25)

 

1. Definitions

These terms and conditions apply to all attendees, participants, and partners of the Dorset Women's Showcase ("the Event"), scheduled on 31 July 2025 at Wimborne Cricket Club. For this document:

"Event" refers to the Dorset Women's Showcase (DWS25).

The "Organiser" refers to the Dorset Cricket Board (DCB), the event's governing and delivery body.

"Attendee" includes any person attending the event, including ticket holders, participants, media, volunteers, staff, and vendors.

"Ticket" refers to any form of authorised access to the event, either paid or complimentary.

 

2. Ticketing and Admission

All attendees must hold a valid ticket to enter the event. Adult tickets are priced at £5. Entry for children under the age of 18 is free, but a responsible adult must accompany children under the age of 16 at all times. Tickets are available exclusively through the official Event website and authorised partners.

All tickets are non-refundable unless the organiser cancels the event. In such cases, refund terms will be clearly communicated through official channels. Attendees must present either a printed or digital version of their ticket at the gate. Wristbands may be issued and must be worn at all times to permit re-entry.

The organiser reserves the right to refuse admission to any person for reasons including, but not limited to, safety, venue capacity, or non-compliance with these terms.

 

3. Refund and Cancellation Policy

Tickets purchased for the event are non-refundable except under the following conditions:

If the organiser fully cancels the event before the event date due to circumstances beyond its control (including, but not limited to, extreme weather, public health emergencies, or force majeure), attendees will be entitled to a full refund of the ticket price.

In the case of significant entertainment loss, certain refunds will be allowed, and attendees will be notified via email.

Over 75% of the day lost to weather: 50% refund

They may request a refund within 7 days of notification.

Refunds will only be issued using the original payment method during ticket purchase.

Refund processing may take up to 10 working days from the date of approval.

The organiser reserves the right to offer credit or ticket transfers to a future Dorset Cricket event in place of refunds if deemed appropriate and with the ticket holder's consent.

Requests for refunds or queries regarding ticketing must be made in writing to info@dorset-cricket.co.uk. The organiser will not be liable for travel, accommodation, or other associated costs in the event of cancellation or change.

 

4. Access and Site

Entry to the site will open at 11:30, and the last admittance is at 17:30. Attendees must vacate the site by 21:00. All attendees agree to behave responsibly and respectfully while on-site. Bag checks may be conducted, and any prohibited items will be confiscated.

Disruptive, abusive, offensive, or unsafe conduct will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the event without a refund. The organiser reserves the right to deny entry or remove attendees at its sole discretion.

 

5. Children and Youth Participation

Children and young people under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout the event. Participation in skills sessions or youth zones requires parental or guardian consent, which must be given in advance during the registration process. All coaching activities will be delivered by qualified staff in accordance with DCB safeguarding policies.

 

 

6. Safety and Emergency Protocols

Attendee safety is a top priority. First aid facilities will be signposted, and medical personnel will be on-site throughout the event. Attendees must always follow the directions of stewards, security staff, and emergency responders. During a site evacuation, attendees must proceed to the nearest exit or assembly point as directed.

 

7. Accessibility

The event aims to be inclusive and accessible. Step-free access is provided to all major zones, and accessible toilets and viewing areas are available. If you have specific access requirements or need additional support, please contact info@dorset-cricket.co.uk at least 7 days prior to the event.

 

8. Photography, Filming, and Media Use

Attending the event, attendees consent to be photographed, filmed, or recorded by the organiser or accredited media for promotional, marketing, and archival purposes. These images and recordings may be used across print, digital, and social media platforms.

If an attendee or parent/guardian of a minor does not wish to be included in media content, they must notify staff at the information point upon entry. Unless otherwise stated, all media created remains the intellectual property of the organiser.

 

9. Alcohol and Substances

Alcohol may be consumed in designated licensed zones only. Attendees must drink responsibly and adhere to all relevant laws concerning age and consumption. Illegal drugs or controlled substances are strictly prohibited. Any violation will result in removal from the event and referral to authorities.

 

10. Food and Beverage Policy

Attendees may bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages. A small allowance for alcohol is permitted. One bottle of wine or champagne (up to 750ml), two cans or bottles of beer/cider (up to 500ml each), or two cans of premixed aperitifs (up to 330ml each) per spectator. Bottles of spirits or fortified wines are not permitted. However, a wide variety of food and drink will be available for purchase on-site. For safety reasons, open flames, barbecues, or gas appliances are not permitted. Allergen information should be checked directly with vendors.

 

11. Weather Policy and Event Cancellation

The event will proceed in most weather conditions. Attendees are advised to dress appropriately and bring waterproofs if required. In severe weather, public health emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances, the organiser reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or adjust the event.

If the event is cancelled, ticket holders will be notified via email and the official website. Where applicable, refunds or credit transfers will be offered in accordance with the Refund and Cancellation Policy outlined in section 3.

 

12. Liability and Personal Property

All attendees participate in the event at their own risk. The organiser accepts no responsibility for loss, injury, or damage to persons or personal property, except where such liability is proven to result from negligence by the organiser or its staff.

Attendees are responsible for their belongings. No secure storage is provided. Parking is available but unmonitored, leaving vehicles at the owner's risk.

 

13. Public Health and COVID-19

Events will comply with the UK Government's and local authorities' guidance on public health. If restrictions or guidelines are in place on the day, all attendees must comply, including but not limited to mask-wearing, social distancing, and health declarations.

Attendees should not attend the event if they are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, have tested positive within 5 days, or have been advised to isolate.

 

14. Complaints and Dispute Resolution Complaints should be directed to the organiser in writing to andy.coleman@dorset-cricket.co.uk. Complaints will be handled in accordance with DCB's complaints policy, which is available on request. Safeguarding concerns will be prioritised and handled with full confidentiality.

 

15. Governing Law: These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
